Children and Families in Worship

WORSHIP IS AT THE HEART OF OUR LIFE AS A CONGREGATION.

We know it is often hard to find the time and patience for worshiping as a whole family–many of us on staff have children and youth ourselves and we are right there with you! However, this congregation is committed to worshiping in a way that is engaging and meaningful for even the youngest members of our family.

High School Trip to Christikon

In July of 2021, youth from Bethel will travel to Christikon Lutheran Bible Camp in the mountains of Southwestern Montana. Situated in the Beartooth/Absaroka Mountains, just north of Yellowstone, Christikon has served as an important place in the lives of many youth since 1951. While there, our youth will have the opportunity to hike in the mountains, worship, and share in fellowship with others from around the country.

While this is not a “mission trip”, it is an important event in the development of faith. Service or mission trips offer people the opportunity to live out one’s faith by serving others. Adventure trips on the other hand allow the participant the chance to learn about their own strength, courage, and relationship with God in the midst of creation. Often times, getting out of the whirlwind of normal life is exactly what is needed to be able to see God at work. This is a tremendous opportunity for our youth, and we thank the entire congregation for their prayers and support.

 Vacation Bible School

Children’s Ministry is busy figuring out the details for Treasured VBS. It will be July 26-29. We’ll spend time outside and have groups that stay together in limited spaces. It might look different from previous years BUT it’ll be filled with FUN, FRIENDS, and JESUS! We need volunteers to pull this off, so let Susan Larson know if you would like to show our kids that they are TREASURED by God and their church family! Watch for registration information soon.

Welcome Back and Welcome Kelsie!

We are planning a fun gathering in our Bethel courtyard after church on Sunday to welcome our new High School Youth Director, Kelsie and to also welcome all of our students back to Bethel for our youth programs! We haven’t finalized the plans yet for this party but you can expect some games, music and fun! Expect more details as we get closer to August!
