As Bethel prepares to celebrate the retirement of our mortgage, we are stepping into a new season of stewardship. Built to Serve is a three-year initiative focused on addressing significant building needs while strengthening our shared mission.
Why Now?
Several major capital projects are approaching, including:
Critical roof maintenance and improvements
Skylight repairs
Mechanical and infrastructure updates
These needs go beyond what our Annual Fund can sustain. Addressing them now allows us to maintain safe, welcoming spaces where worship, learning, and community life can flourish.
Looking Ahead
Built to Serve will work in coordination with Bethel’s Fall Stewardship efforts. Our Annual Fund remains vital for ongoing ministry, while this initiative focuses specifically on capital needs and designated mission support.

Inspired to Give
The Inspired to Give booklet invites the Bethel community to embrace stewardship as a joyful response to God’s grace. It highlights three ways to support Bethel’s mission: the Annual Fund, which sustains ministry today; the three-year Built to Serve initiative, which strengthens our church home and extends Christ’s love through our mission partnership in Puerto Rico; and the Endowment Fund, which builds a lasting legacy for future generations.
Through prayer, generosity, and faithful partnership, we can continue building faith, strengthening ministry, and sharing God’s love—together in Christ.
A Two-Part Commitment

Mission Partnership: Iglesia Luterana del Divino Salvador (Puerto Rico)
Supporting the completion of a hospitality house for individuals in transition—a project Bethel helped begin in 2024 and continues to walk alongside. Scrolling images below were captured during that impactful mission trip.
Capital Needs
Roof| Boiler | Air Handling Unit (AHU)
The most urgent need is the sanctuary and narthex roof, which has reached a critical point and must be addressed to protect key worship and gathering spaces. A full roof replacement will follow in the coming years. Additional needs include mechanical system upgrades and other deferred maintenance.
