Bible Study: The Psalms – Speaking for Us Today

September 13, 6:30 pm - November 15  |  Bethel Lutheran Church (Room 115)

The book of Psalms, a collection of songs speaking from the depth of the human heart, provides a voice for us in our relationship with God. Whether used in our corporate worship services or in personal devotions, the book of Psalms gives us permission to honestly bring our thoughts and feelings to God. In this ten-week study we will explore the variety of types of Psalms, from joyous shouts of praise to songs that come out of the depths of lament, from songs that celebrate God’s creation and God’s acts of deliverance to songs to songs that cry out to God in times of trouble. Throughout this study we can expect to experience the Holy Spirit using the ancient book of Psalms to speak for us today.

Join us on Wednesday evenings from September 13 to November 15 (except Oct. 4) at 6:40 pm in Room 115.
