CHERUB CHOIR

We hone our musical skills in understanding terminology and concepts. Rhythm through listening, clapping, jumping jacks, dancing, and drums are favorites. Our prayer through the song “Lord, Listen to Your Children Praying” is a worshipful moment with our heads bowed before we let loose into the action of dance and instruments, or scarves. We end each time together with the reminder song that ‘Jesus Loves Me” and then say goodbye in song.

We try to impress upon the children the importance of being part of a congregation and that they also have a place in leading the music with the call to worship. We let them know what relevance the music has to the text of the Sunday before they sing and practice with them in the sanctuary.

The Cherubs include three year olds through kindergarten and are lead by Elizabeth McGeeney / Rachel Coltvet.

Wednesday evenings, 5:30 – 6:00pm in the music room.

CHORISTERS

The Choristers include grades one through six and sing on the second Sunday of each  month for the 9:00am service and on special occasions.

Wednesday evenings, 6:00 – 6:30pm in the music room.

JUBILATE!

Jubilate consists of seventh through twelfth grades and sings on the second Sunday of each  month for the 10:30am service and on special occasions.
