Supporting Living Ministries

Through Our Growth

Living Ministries

In God's House

In 1869 (140 years ago), a few men had the idea that

a new church was needed in Rochester. That church would become Bethel Lutheran. The congregation has changed location a couple of times and built a few buildings—but the mission has always been the same—serving faithfully the good news of Jesus Christ with the gifts given to us.

And Bethel has been given great gifts—land, buildings, finances, and, most of all, people. It is the people who make this the wonderful church it is. Land, buildings, and money are simply tools for the church to use. Of course, they are necessary tools.

Bethel is faced with the challenge of supporting the

total ministry of the congregation so that our ministry is not compromised, and so that it can grow! Thanks for all you are doing. We don’t give money to pay for bricks and mortar—we give for ministry, ministry that bricks and mortar can help provide.

This is an extraordinary time. May you join yourself to the extraordinary people who are the Living Ministry at Bethel Lutheran.

Make a Pledge to Living Ministries

"Clouds of witnesses surround us
Saints whose heritage we claim
Christ's own love has bought and bound us
One with all who bear His Name
Here within this congregation
Trusting Your Strong Word alone
Help us build on this foundation
Christ the living cornerstone."

We Built To

The Glory

Of God

Youth Hall A place to have fun

As we join the choir to sing these words, we are mindful of the wonderful heritage we have here at Bethel and the tremendous opportunities we have to build on this foundation. It has been nearly 35 years since we became members at Bethel, and on the first Mother's Day as members our son, Paul, was baptized here.

Our family has been blessed in so many ways at Bethel. Involvement has been the key. Our children's involvement in education and youth activities, our own involvement in many facets of church life, and our family's participation in
worship.

What a special blessing it is to be a part of the Music Program that has experienced such tremendous growth in the last few years. Surround sound is certainly demonstrated in our new
sanctuary as it accommodates our new organ, bell, orchestra & brass group and choirs.

We are overwhelmed with the generosity of Bethel’s members. To think all this is made possible …by the simple act of giving.

To God Be The Glory!
