MESSENGER DRAMA TEAM

 Over ten years ago, Pastor Linda Helberg brought a script to the Staff to do during Holy Week, that script was “The Last Supper” and with that play, the Bethel Drama Team was born.

 The team decided at its inception that their job was to tell the wonderful Story of God’s love to all who would listen.  The people who have been involved, actors, cast and crew have grown spiritually and have continued to devote their time and talents to this worthwhile ministry.

  Over the past ten years we have done some of the following dramas:

            •   Nine acts of “The Promise

            •   Boar’s Head Feast

            •   Last Supper

            •   “Will You Wait With Me?”   

            •    Moments with the Master   

 Our pledge to God is to continue to bring His Word to our congregation, the city of Rochester and to all those who are hungering and thirsting  to hear His Word.

The Youth Drama Troupe began in the fall of 2003. Created by the intern pastor,  the purpose was to involve youth from grades 6-12 in worship creatively. Once a  month the Youth Drama Troupe acts out the biblical lessons for the Sunday, as well as occasionally leading parts of worship. In the Spring of 2004 the youth put on the original musical “Esther”.
