Michael has been at Bethel for around 5 years. After graduating from Winona State with a degree in Education, Michael felt a calling to ministry at Bethel. Throughout the 5 years he has found it very rewarding to work with a great staff and great members in the congregation and community.

Michael is currently pursuing a masters degree at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. Through the distributive learning program at Luther, Michael will receive a Master of Arts degree in Children, Youth and Family Ministries. Through on-line classes and week-long intensive classes, Michael hopes to bring back his knowledge and what he is learning to help better the programs and ministry in the youth area.

Michael has been married for almost 6 years to his wife Amy, who is a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital. They have two energetic kids, Hannah (4 in May) and Caden (2 in May).
