Michael grew up in Wells, MN. He attended Winona State University and graduated in Dec. of 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. While in college, Michael enjoyed working summers at Good Earth Village in nearby Spring Valley, MN. After graduation Michael spent time substituting in the Winona School District. While applying for teaching jobs in the MN and WI area, it was apparent God had a different plan for Michael and his degree. After contacting a friend from Good Earth Village about openings in the Youth Ministry Area, Michael was able to apply to Bethel Lutheran Church. After a year Michael is still learning new things about ministry and Bethel. He is trying to figure out new ways to involve students in the ministry at Bethel. Michael believes Youth Ministry takes time to grow and flurish, and believes it begins with building relationships with students. Through different activities and bible studies, Michael's goal is to enrich students' lives through God and to strengthen their relationship with him.
